Held Space STL: the group space for Roots & Keys Coaching
What is it?
To “hold space” means to create an opportunity for someone to be themselves, feel safe, and to communicate verbally or nonverbally without fear of judgment. The idea behind Held Space STL is to build a warm, welcoming container in which anyone can feel a deep sense of belonging and connection to others. You are welcome to believe whatever you want to believe, hold varied identities, dress how you’re most comfortable, and generally bring your whole authentic self into the space, regardless of the reason for the gathering.
Where is it?
The physical space is #202, which is the room next to the “office” at 4386 Lindell; it holds 20-25 people comfortably.
Who can attend events and group work?
Any adult who is willing to agree to practice clear and kind communication, honor one another’s full humanity, and keep the confidentiality of the group is welcome. No one is ever expected or required to share, but you are welcome to. The ultimate intention is simply to hold space for whatever you may need in the moment you are in. This is what community is: a deep sense of safety and belonging with a group of humans, even those who were previously strangers. We can co-create this sense of safety with intentionality and shared commitments.
